BIO
In a thriving East Coast reggae-rock scene, Long Arm Rex shakes up the narrative with their infectious, high octane performances and unapologetically gritty sound. The 5-piece group of eclectic musicians continue to evolve and embrace a wide array of genres and influences, ranging from upbeat, roots reggae to jam-infused rock and roll. Sprinkled with some hip-hop, funk and soul, Long Arm Rex’s inclusive sound has attracted a healthy and diverse grassroots fanbase that continues to grow as they hit their 10-year anniversary in 2024.
Their latest release in 2021, an EP entitled “Welcome Home”, is emblematic of the band’s diverse styles, starting with the hard-hitting dub jam “Whiskey” and eventually reaching the reggae-infused pop rock tune “My Summertime Girl”, a fan-favorite amassing over 40K streams on Spotify.
The group has plenty of experience on the festival stage (Terptown Throwdown, Strangecreek/Wormtown, Higher Education Music Festival, Ziontific Summer Solstice Festival) and have provided support for major acts in the scene, like Bumpin Uglies, Ries Brothers, Passafire and many more.
Be on the lookout in 2024 as Long Arm Rex plans on dropping a full-length live album, “Live From Strangecreek”!
